18. French Braid

The French braid is a classic that can be used literally all over your head! You can of course choose the traditional style, straight down the middle, with all of your hair included. Consider mixing it up though! A braid that circles your head, framing your face, provides a youthful look. Another idea is to start on one side, by your temple, and then braid diagonally across the back of your head, creating an elegant but unusual style. Some people even chose to braid upside-down, starting at the nape of your neck. From there, you braid upward and can choose to end the braid with a bun or top knot.
