11. Clean the Floor Mats

Stained and filthy floor mats are the worst nightmare of every car owner. Rainy days, mud, sand, they get the biggest abuse and require extensive cleaning. The best way to clean them is to pop them in your washing machine. Before you wash them, use a stain remover to remove any stubborn stains. Spray them with a stain spray or use this marvelous DIY paste. Mix 1-2 tablespoons of baking soda with one part dish soap and two parts hydrogen peroxide. Pour the mixture onto the stains and rub with a toothbrush. When the stains are gone, wash the floor mats in the washing machine with your regular detergent.
