2. Self-watering system while you are away

Anyone who has a well-kept garden understands how painful and worrisome it can be to leave for a vacation with no one behind to water your plants. Every minute that you spend away is spent worrying about what the condition of your plants would be back home. This is one big problem with a very simple solution. Fill in a wine bottle with water and insert it upside down into its neck at least 4 inches of the soil. The water would keep coming out at a slow pace when needed to keep the plants well-watered.
