8. Rock Hudson
At 6’3’’, he was the very definition of ‘tall, dark and handsome’ and he was the star of a wide range of movies back in the 1950s and 1960s – we’re talking about Rock Hudson, who managed to be both a heartthrob and a box office magnet back in the days. He appeared in movies next to the IT ladies of the time, like Doris Day and Elizabeth Taylor and made us both cry and laugh in dramas and comedies. Back in 1955, 30 year-old Rock married Phyllis Gates, only to divorce three years later. The star never discussed his sexual preferences openly with the press, but various colleagues have claimed during the years that the star was gay.
